What is happening?

BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL

(TILEHURST LANE, BINFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)

ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from travelling along:

a) Tilehurst Lane, Binfield in both directions between the junctions of York Road and B3018 Church Lane.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via: Tilehurst Lane, B3034 Forest Road, Terrace Road North and this route reversed.

The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while Scottish and Southern Power Distribution carry out works to the infrastructure in the carriageway.

The proposed Order will come into operation on the 22nd September 2025, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the road closure will be in place between 22nd September 2025 – 03rd October 2025.

This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
