Bridge Hill, Studley Lane, Mead Lane and the Street - Temporary Closure Will Enable Envolve Infrastructure to Carry Out Phased Water Mains Renovation Works

Temporary Closure of Bridge Hill, Studley Lane, Mead Lane and The Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Bridge Hill - from the junction with Mead Lane, southwards incorporating Studley Lane for a distance of 560 metres; Mead Lane - from the junction with The Street, north-eastwards for a distance of 54 metres; and The Street - from the junction with Mead Lane, westwards for a distance of 17 metres.
A total distance of 631 metres. This Order will enable Envolve Infrastructure to carry out phased water mains renovation works on behalf of Bristol Water (as and when signed on site).
The Order becomes effective on 28th August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 1st September 2025 and last until 24th October 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 54 days. a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
