ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
(Church Street, Boston Spa, Leeds)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That because new water supply connection works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s), Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Church Street, Boston Spa, Leeds in the Wetherby Ward between its junctions with Appletree Close and a point adjacent to No.62 Church Street. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Primrose Lane, Clifford Moor Road, High Street and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order shall come into operation on Wednesday 3rd September 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Tuesday 9th September 2025. The closure will be in place 24 hours per each day. K Krawczyk. Ref: ECO2500181. (Definitive Footpath Micklefield No. 7)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to due to safety concerns regarding the public use of the above footpath where it meets a railway crossing, Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is that: No person shall proceed on foot Closure of Definitive Footpath Micklefield No.7; from its junction with Definitive Footpath Micklefield No.13 to its junction with Definitive Footpath Micklefield No.6 (Kippax and Methley Ward). A Diversionary route for pedestrians affected by the closure will be Great North Road and Definitive Footpath Nos. Micklefield 16, Micklefield 3, Micklefield 12 and Micklefield 6 and vice-versa. Alternatively, pedestrians may proceed via Definitive Footpath Micklefield No.13, FP 35.39/3/1 (North Yorkshire), FP 35.59/2/1 (North Yorkshire) and Definitive Footpath Micklefield No 6. The Order shall come into operation on 11 September 2025 and to remain in force 24 hours per day, for a maximum period of 6 months. Network Rail anticipate that the closed section of Definitive Footpath Micklefield No.7 to be permanently diverted by the end of the year. Reference TC10121
(Definitive Footpaths Aberford Nos. 6 & 8)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to the renewal of a motorway boundary fence on or near the under mentioned footpath, Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is that: No person shall proceed on foot in a northerly or southerly direction for a distance approximately 800m between the junctions of Definitive Footpaths Aberford 6 & Aberford 8, Harewood Ward. A Diversionary route for pedestrians affected by the closure will be available via Main Street, Lotherton Lane, Stocking Lane, Kingfisher Lane and vice-versa. Alternatively, pedestrians may continue to use Definitive Footpaths Aberford 6 & 8 by proceeding in a westerly/easterly direction (as appropriate) around the closure points. Pedestrians wishing to access Definitive Footpath Aberford 6 to the west of the Motorway bridge, should turn left from Field Lane at the Arabian Public House. The Order shall come into operation on 1 September 2025 and to remain in force 24 hours per day, for a maximum period of 6 months. The works are expected to be completed by 3 October 2025. (Definitive Footpath Morley No.57)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to continuing safety concerns are ongoing due to significant changes in levels on the line of the above-mentioned footpath, Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is that: No person shall proceed on foot along Definitive Footpath Morley No.57, from the back of footway adjacent to No. 61 Albert Road, in a north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 70 metres to Bilberry Bank (also being part of Definitive Footpath Morley No.57) A Diversionary route for pedestrians affected by the closure will be available, proceeding westerly along Bilberry Bank to Albert Road, and then easterly to the point of closure, and vice-versa. The Order shall come into operation on Thursday 28 August 2025 and will remain in force 24 hours per day, for a maximum period of 6 months. Reference TC10122
(Definitive Footpath Aireborough No.38)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to safety concerns regarding the displacement of stonework on or near the under mentioned footpath, Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is that: No person shall proceed on foot along Definitive Footpath Aireborough No.38, between its junctions with from its junction with Netherfield Road and Oxford Avenue, Guiseley. A Diversionary route for pedestrians affected by the closure will be available via Netherfield Road, Definitive Footpath Aireborough No 40, Oxford Avenue and vice-versa. The Order shall come into operation on Thursday 28 August 2025 and will remain in force 24 hours per day, for a maximum period of 6 months. Leeds City Council (Various Roads, Metropolitan District of Leeds) (Speed Limits) (City Wide) Order 2025
Amendment Order No.8 2025 – A6120 Ring Road, Moortown & Weetwood Wards
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 81, 84, 85, 87, 89, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, proposes to make the above Order, the effect of which will be to introduce: 1. A 40MPH Speed Limit on: a. A6120 Ring Road, Moortown; from King Lane Roundabout, in a southwesterly direction to a point 70 meters south-west of its junction with Tongue Lane. b. A6120 Ring Road, Weetwood; from its adjoining point with Ring Road West Park, Lawnswood Roundabout, in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 232 meters. 2. A 50MPH Speed Limit on: A6120 Ring Road, Weetwood; from a point 70 meters south-west of its junction with Tongue Lane, in a south-westerly direction to a point 255 meters north-east of its junction with Lawnswood roundabout. A64 York Road Bus Corridor
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, acting as Local Traffic Authority (and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers) proposes to make the above Order, the effect of which will be to introduce:
1. Bus Taxi & Pedal Cycle Lanes (With Flow – all days and hours) on sections of
a. York Road (A64) Killingbeck & Seacroft Ward; (nearside lane – westbound and south-westbound direction) in the vicinity of Temple Vue, Sandway & Hawkhill Avenue.
b. York Road (A64) Burmantofts & Richmond Hill Ward; (nearside lane – westbound direction) in the vicinity of Temple Vue.
c. York Road (A64) Swarcliffe, Crossgates & Whinmoor Ward; (nearside lane – south-westbound direction) in the vicinity of Stanks Lane and Sherburn Road.
d. Seacroft Avenue Swarcliffe, Crossgates & Whinmoor Ward; (farside lane – eastbound direction) in the vicinity of York Road.
2. A Bus, Taxi & Pedal Cycle Only Street on York Road (A64) Killingbeck & Seacroft Ward; all dayds and hours (nearside lane) – within the central reservation, from its junction with Cross Gates Road, extending in a westerly direction for a distance of 4 metres.
3. A Mandatory Left Turn from Seacroft Avenue Swarcliffe, (nearside Lane – eastbound carriagway), on to York Road; except for Buses,Taxis & Cycles.
