Birks Road, Temporary Waiting, Loading & Unloading Restrictions Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (BIRKS ROAD, CLEATOR MOOR) (TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND NO LOADING/UNLOADING AT ANY TIME TRAFFIC RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and/or from loading and unloading, at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders) along that section of the Birks Road, Cleator Moor, (east side) from its junction with the B5295 to its junction with Ellis Meadows/Gardens.

The Order will come into operation on 16 September 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
