What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C634 EUSTON ROAD, BARNHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C634 Euston Road, Barnham from 300 metres east of the junction with Windsor Close for 100 metres eastbound to facilitate telecommunications maintenance works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1088, Troston Road, Green Lane, the A134 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 27/08/2025 from 9am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C655 GAZELEY ROAD, KENTFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C655 Gazeley Road, Kentford from 700 metres south of the junction with the B1506 for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1085, the B1506 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 27/08/2025 from 8am - 12pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1069 SNAPE ROAD, FRISTON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1069 Snape Road, Friston from 500 metres north of the junction with the A1094 for 200 metres northbound to facilitate the installation of ducts. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1094, the B1121 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
05/09/2025 - 08/09/2025 from 10pm - 6am
12/09/2025 - 15/09/2025 from 10pm - 6am
19/09/2025 - 22/09/2025 from 10pm - 6am
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C528 CRANLEY ROAD, EYE
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
the C528 Cranley Road, Eye from 50 metres east of the water tower for 150 metres eastbound
the C528 Cranley Road, Eye from 150 metres east of Cocks Road to Mill Cottages.
the C528 Cranley Road, Eye from the 5610 to Kings Farm.
This is to facilitate telecommunication pole testing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Church Road, Woodlane Road, Park Road, Church Corner, the road from the C533 to the C531, The Street, Bucks Green, the B1077 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/09/2025 from 10am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C642 LOW STREET, BARDWELL
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C642 Low Street, Bardwell from 30 metres north east of Old Baptist Chapel to the junction with the U6441 Knox Lane to facilitate safety due to possibility of house collapse. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be available for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Low Street, Bardwell Road, the A1088, Bardwell Road, Spring Road and vice versa.
This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 07/08/2025
It is intended that the closure will operate until 31/08/2025, but if necessary the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C429 DRINKSTONE ROAD AND C427 THE GREEN, HESSETT
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
C429 Drinkstone Road, Hessett from the junction with The Street to Elm Farm
C427 The Green, Hessett from the junction with Heath Road to The Old Mill.
This is to facilitate installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be available for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
Drinkstone Road Beyton, Tostock Road, Roads Bounding Beyton Green, Church Road, Beyton Road and vice versa
Manor Road, Drinkstone Road, Gedding Road, The Street, Drinkstone Road and vice versa.
This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 23/08/2025
It is intended that the closure will operate until 11/09/2025, but if necessary the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (HALESWORTH) (FOOTPATH 7) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
This order, which came into effect on 14/03/2024 closing Footpath 7, Halesworth from Harrisons Lane to Footpath 16, Halesworth, has been extended in force by the Minister until 13/09/2026, or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
This closure remains required in the interests of public safety to facilitate the construction of a new housing development. Without extension, the order would have been in effect until 13/09/2025.
The diversion route will be Harrisons Lane, Halesworth, Bungay Road, Holton, Footpath 8, Holton, Footpath 16, Holton and vice versa.
