Downend Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Water Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Puriton Temporary Closure of Downend Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Downend Road - from 140 metres east of the junction with Downend Crescent, eastwards for a total distance of 39 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out service disconnection.
The Order becomes effective on 9th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 15th September 2025 and last until 17th September 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days.
