Suffolk, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C556 THE STREET AND HUNSTON ROAD, STOWLANGTOFT, HUNSTON AND BADWELL ASH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the:

? C556 The Street, Stowlangtoft from Kiln Lane to The Street

? C556 The Street, Hunston from The Street to Westley Way

? C556 Hunston Road, Badwell Ash from Westley Road to Past St Marys Crescent

? C556 The Street, Badwell Ash from Past St Marys Crescent to Langham Road.

This is to facilitate carriageway patching prior to surface dressing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, the A1088, the A143, Walsham Road, Ixworth Road, The Causeway, Badwell Road, The Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/08/2025 - 29/08/2025 from 8am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

(PARISH OF GREAT BEALINGS) (FOOTPATH 12) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

This order, which came into effect on 16/04/2025 closing Footpath 12 has been extended in force by the Minister until 16/04/2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.

This closure remains required due to safety reasons from a damaged footbridge. Without extension the order would have been in effect until 16/10/2025.

The diversion route will be Footpath 12, Great Bealings, Footpath 10, Great Bealings, Footpath 11, Great Bealings, Lodge Road, Footpath 8A, Little Bealings, Footpath 8, Little Bealings and vice versa.
