ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONS ACT 1984:

SECTION 23 & 25

NOTICE OF PROPOSED TOUCAN CROSSING

ON VARIOUS ROADS, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council proposes to remove two existing Toucan crossings and replace them in Ipswich as follows:

Toucan crossing being moved from its current location which is approximately 27m south from the junction of St Peters Wharf to the new location which is 15m north of the junction of St Peters Wharf

Toucan crossing being moved approximately 6m west so it is approximately 20m east of its junction with Bridge Street roundabout

A map showing the location of the toucan crossings and the council’s reasons for this proposal may be requested in writing to Suffolk County Council Legal Services at the address below or by email to: highwayslegal@suffolk.gov.uk. Representations can also be sent to us by post or email no later than 13/09/2025. Please note that any such representations cannot be confidential and may be inspected by any interested party.
