Suffolk - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C969 INGATE, BECCLES

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C969 Ingate, Beccles from the level crossing for 20 metres eastbound and 20 metres westbound to facilitate repairs to a rail defect. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Blyburgate, Newgate, Station Road, George Westwood Way, the A146, Lowestoft Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11:15pm on 23/08/2025 - 8:30am on 24/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6417 HIGH STREET, THELNETHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U6417 High Street, Thelnetham from the junction with Weston Road for 200 metres northbound to facilitate underground communication works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be High Street, Church Lane, Tuflen Lane, Weston Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/09/2025 from 8am to 6pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3201 LEVINGTON LANE, BUCKLESHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3201 Levington Lane, Bucklesham from the junction with Oak Tree View for 30 metres south westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Main Road, Brightwell Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/09/2025 - 05/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U1025 TURRET LANE AND ROSE LANE, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

1. U1025 Turret Lane, Ipswich

2. U1025 Rose Lane, Ipswich.

This is to facilitate kerbing works and carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. Lower Brook Street, the A1022 and vice versa

2. St Peters Street, the A1022, Lower Brook Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

1. 04/09/2025 – 09/09/2025 from 7pm to 5am

2. 09/09/2025 – 11/09/2025 from 7pm to 5am.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1124 BECCLES ROAD, SOTHERTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1124 Beccles Road, Sotherton from 900 metres west of the junction with Strawberry Lane for 346 metres westbound to facilitate rectifying defective carriageway reinstatement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A145, the B1123 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/09/2025 – 04/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
