Order 2025

The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of footpath Greenlee Garth a 26 metre length to the front of Numbers 125 & 126, a 33 metre length to the front of Numbers 129 & 130, a 27 metre length to the front of Numbers 131 & 132, a 21 metre length to the front of Numbers 133 & 134, a 33 metre length to the front of Numbers 135 & 136 and rear of Numbers 137 & 138, a 29 metre length to the side of Numbers 137 & 138 and a 33 metre length from the front of Number 141 to the front of Number 145 Greenlee Garth. Alston Crescent a 32 metres length to the front of Numbers 122 to 124 Greenlee Garth and a 103 metre length to the front of Numbers 157 to 166 Greenlee Garth. Meadowfield Way a 6 metre length to the front of Number 146 Greenlee Garth, a 30 metre length to the side of Number 141 and rear of Numbers 147 & 148 Greenlee Garth, a 74 metre length to the front of Numbers 149 to 156 Greenlee Garth and a 48 metre length to the side and rear of Number 149 Greenlee Garth to enable gas main replacement works to be undertaken. Throughout the period of closure, a diversion will be available to pedestrian traffic on alternative footpaths surrounding Greenlee Garth. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence at 8am on 5/9/2025 and anticipated to be completed 5 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
