Cavalry Ride, Norwich - Amendment to Residents Parking Scheme

What is happening?

THE CITY COUNCIL OF NORWICH

(RESIDENTS CAR PARKS) (CAVALRY RIDE) AMENDMENT ORDER 2025

The City Council of Norwich propose to make the above-named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will introduce permit parking on Cavalry Ride. Car parking on Cavalry Ride will only be available for motor vehicles displaying a valid parking permit. Car parking will be permit controlled for twenty-four hours a day Monday to Saturday. Residents of the properties 1 - 30 Dan Pratt Court, 90 - 98 Moushold Street and 1 - 15 Cavalry Ride would be eligible to apply for residents parking permits and visitor parking permits for parking at the Cavalry Ride car park area.

This order will amend The City of Norwich (Residents Car Parks) Order 1996 as amended (1996 Order)

A copy of the draft Order, a plan, statement of reasons and the 1996 Order (with its subsequent amendments) may viewed online at www.norwich.gov.uk/cavalryride and may be inspected at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich, and at the office of the Norwich City Council, St Peters Street, Norwich, NR2 1NH during normal office hours.

Any objections and representations relating to the Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. All correspondence for these proposals must be received at the office of the nplaw, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH, marked for the attention of the Traffic Regulation Orders Team, by 16th September 2025. They may also be emailed to trafficorders@norfolk.gov.uk.
