Walsall - Various Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions

WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC)

(VARIOUS ROADS) ORDER No.1 SEPTEMBER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicles proceeding in that length of:

* BELVIDERE ROAD, WALSALL that is situated from its junction with Highgate Road to its junction with Highgate Avenue. (Monday 8 September 2025 to Friday 19 September 2025).
Reason for Order: Gas main replacement scheme.
Works on behalf of: Cadent Gas.

* MOB LANE, PELSALL that is situated from the entrance to Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy to its junction with Green Lane. (Tuesday 9 September 2025) (09:30 – 15:30).
Reason for Order: To allow safe working in overhead structure.
Works on behalf of: Sunbelt Rentals.

* COMMONSIDE, BROWNHILLS that is situated at its junction with Friezland Lane to its junction with Profitt Close. (Friday 12 September 2025 to Friday 3 October 2025).
Reason for Order: Gas main replacement scheme.
Works on behalf of: Cadent Gas.

* NOOSE LANE, WILLENHALL that is situated from its junction with Noose Crescent to its junction with A454 Willenhall Road. (Saturday 12 September 2025 to Monday 15 September 2025 & Saturday 27 September 2025 to Monday 29 September 2025) (20:00 – 06:00).
Reason for Order: Railway improvement work.
Works on behalf of: Transport for West Midlands.

* SPOUT LANE, WALSALL that is situated from its junction with Whitehall Road to its junction with Bescot Street. (Wednesday 17 September 2025) (08:00 – 17:00).
Reason for Order: Housing installation for air quality monitoring system.
Works on behalf of: BUKO Traffic & Safety.

* LUMLEY ROAD, WALSALL that is situated from its junction with Kinnerley Street to its junction with Chuckery Road. (Tuesday 17 September 2025 to Friday 26 September 2025).
Reason for Order: Gas main renewal scheme.
Works on behalf of: Cadent Gas.

The one-way on Lumley Road cited in “Walsall Metropolitan Borough (Moncrieffe Street, Florence Street and Lumley Road, Walsall) (One Way Traffic) Order 2020” will be revoked for the duration of the works.

* CHUCKERY ROAD, WALSALL that is situated from its junction with Beacon Street to its junction with Willows Road. (Monday 22 September 2025 to Friday 26 September 2025).
Reason for Order: Gas main renewal scheme.
Works on behalf of: Cadent Gas.

* A454 WALSALL ROAD, ALDRIDGE that is situated from its junction with Birmingham Road to its junction with Forge Lane. (20:00 on Thursday 25 September 2025 to 06:00 on Friday 26 September 2025).
Reason for Order: Repair defective frame and cover.
Works on behalf of: Severn Trent Water.

This Order will come into operation on Monday 8 September 2025. It is anticipated that the works will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signed diversion routes (viewable on the website one.network) will be in operation for affected traffic. The Order will remain in force for a period of up to eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
