PUBLIC NOTICE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

A428 NORTHAMPTON ROAD, STEVINGTON AND BEDFORD ROAD TURVEY 25 - 059

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Northampton Road, Stevington and Bedford Road Turvey.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate gulley cleaning and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 21:00 to 05:00 hours from 22nd September 2025 to 25th September 2025

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Bedford Road, High Street, Bridge Street, Northampton Road, The Warrington Bypass To County Boundary, Warrington Road, Redway Olne 03 Olney, Drift Way, Wellingborough Road, Dartmouth Road, Market Place, High Street South, Newport Road, Sherington Bypass, Sherington, Newport Pagnell Bypass East, Newport Pagnell Road, Stagsden Bypass, Bromham Bypass

The reverse route applies

The proposed Order will come into operation on 22nd September 2025, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Bedford Borough Council Tel: 01234 718003

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Ampthill Road, Kempston

Hardwick either side of the railway bridge.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate removal of ballast boards across all bridge girders/ trial holes track side and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 22:00 to 06:00 hours from 25th September 2025 to 26th September 2025 and 2nd October 2025 - 3rd October 2025

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Ampthill Road, Hardwick Hill, Elstow Bypass, A6 Wixams Bypass, Wilstead Bypass, Wilstead Hill, Deadmans Hill, Bedford Road, Ampthill To Maulden Bypass, Steppingley Road, Woburn Road, Woburn Street, Bedford Street, Hazelwood Lane.
