Darlington, Temporary Road Closures Due To Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND CLEARWAY) ORDER 2025
NEASHAM ROAD, MIDDLETON ST GEORGE AND DIBDALE ROAD, NEASHAM
Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
No stopping at any time (clearway); and
The prohibition of the driving of vehicles
On the following roads to allow road resurfacing works.
NEASHAM ROAD
From the north side of the access road to Dinsdale Golf Club northwards to a point 100 metres north of the access road to Dinsdale Hall and from the south side of the northern junction to Neasham Covert northwards for approximately 370 metres
ACCESS ROAD TO DINSDALE HALL
From its junction with Neasham Road eastwards for approximately 20 metres
DIBDALE ROAD
From the north side of The Close junction northwards to south side of the entrance to Dibdale House
An alternative route will be signed via Teesway, Neasham Road (Hurworth Moor), A66, A67, Darlington Road, Station Road, and vice versa.
The maximum duration of the temporary restrictions under this Order is 18 months commencing from 15th September 2025, it is anticipated that the restrictions will be effective for 2 weeks.
