(BALMUILDY ROAD, BISHOPBRIGGS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO.2) ORDER 2025
On 26 August 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works, and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on Balmuildy Road, Bishopbriggs between a point 585 metres or thereby east of its junction with the A879 Balmore Road at the East Dunbartonshire Council/Glasgow City Council Boundary and the access road to Mavis Valley Recycling Centre, Bishopbriggs, by reason of works being executed on or near this road. This Order will operate from 18.00 hours on Friday, 12 September 2025 until 18.00 hours on Sunday, 21 September 2025.

Alternative Routes

The alternative routes will be by way of Balmuildy Road, Hilton Road, and the A803 Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs, and the A807 Torrance Road and Balmore Road and the A879 Balmore Road and these routes will be signposted.

(VARIOUS ROADS, KIRKINTILLOCH) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20XX

East Dunbartonshire Council, in accordance with their powers under s84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, propose to consider the introduction of a 20-mph speed limit on the entire length or part of the length of those roads in Kirkintilloch listed in Schedule 1 below.
