(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)
ORDER 2025
On 18 August 2025 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on facilitating telecommunication network improvement works) on Greenhill Road, Hareshaw from its junction with Birniehill Road north westwards for a distance of 180m or thereby by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
Alternative routes: Vehicles on the northwest side of the closure wishing access to the southeast side of the closure should proceed via Greenhill Road, Hareshaw Road, A73 Carlisle Road, Fernieshaw Road and Greenhill Road.
Vehicles on the southeast side of the closure wishing access to the northwest side of the closure should proceed vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 1 September 2025 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Friday, 12 September 2025.
