Bedfordshire: Kensworth, Caddington, Dunstable, Barton le Clay - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(SPRATTS LANE, KENSWORTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Spratts Lane, Kensworth.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 3 September 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Hollicks Lane, B4540 and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on 1 September 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(MANCROFT ROAD, CADDINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Mancroft Road, Caddington.

This temporary closure is required to enable drainage works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 18 September 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Dunstable Road, A5183, B4540 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 1 September 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(PARK ROAD AND GROVE ROAD, DUNSTABLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Park Road, Dunstable and Grove Road, Dunstable from number 8 to Park Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable footway resurfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 15 September to 10 October 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The roads will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative routes for these closure are:

Park Road – Great Northern Road, London Road, Borough Road and vice versa. Grove Road – Downs Road, Great Northern Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(SHARPENHOE ROAD, BARTON LE CLAY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Sharpenhoe Road, Barton Le Clay from under Barton Bypass to near slip road entrance.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 15 to 17 September 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Luton Road, Sharpenhoe Road, Barton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(MAIDENBOWER AVENUE AND WESTFIELD ROAD, DUNSTABLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Maidenbower Avenue, Dunstable from Brewers Hill Road to Chiltern Road and Westfield Road, Dunstable from numbers 74 to 90.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway resurfacing, civils work and concrete repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 15 September to 3 October 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative routes for this closure are:

Maidenbower Avenue – Chiltern Road, A505, Brewers Hill Road and vice versa. Westfield Road – A505, Brewers Hill Road, Drovers Way and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
