Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Road Closures & Speed Limit Changes
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) C150 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Easton Lane to its junction with Coppershell to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out wall rebuilding works and other associated works. Alternative route via C150 (unaffected length) – A350 – A4 – B3353 – C150 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 until 27 September 2025. B) Ashton Road (Part), Hilperton and Trowbridge; from its roundabout junction with A361 to its junction with Pike Close to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out ducting for SSEN three way cable via open trench. Alternative route via Ashton Road (unaffected length) – A350 – B3105 – A361 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025 and the closure will be required for 4 days. C) B3107 (Part), Melksham; from its roundabout junction with A350 for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out CCTV survey of foul water network and associated works. Alternative route via B3107 (unaffected length) – B3105 – B3109 – A365 – A350 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:30 and 05:00 for 1 night. Orders A) to C) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the alternative routes will be the minimum length necessary to accommodate the works whilst avoiding unnecessary disruption.

A) Station Road Southbound Carriageway (Part), Westbury; from its junction with Eden Vale Road to its junction with Haynes Road. And to introduce a temporary No Waiting at Any Time restriction on the following length of road:
B) Station Road (Part), Westbury – east side – from its junction with Eden Vale Road to its junction with Haynes Road. And to temporarily introduce a 20mph speed restriction on the following length of road:
C) Station Road (Part), Westbury; from its junction with Haynes Road to its junction with Eden Vale Road to enable Wales & West Utilities Ltd to carry out gas mains upgrade scheme. Alternative route via Station Road (unaffected length) – Rosefield Way – The Mead – A350.
The restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 24 August 2024 will now recommence on 26 August 2025 and the closure will be required for 4 days. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months. 1. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (A3102 AND B4069, LYNEHAM AND BRADENSTOKE) (RESTRICTED ROADS) ORDER 2025
2. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (A3102, LYNEHAM AND BRADENSTOKE) (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to revoke The County of Wiltshire (A3102/B4069, Lyneham) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001 and The County of Wiltshire (A3102, Lyneham) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2013 re-enact them, in part, in the above Orders and to introduce a 30mph speed limit on A3102, Lyneham and Bradenstoke – from a point 285 meters north east of its junction with B4069, Chippenham to Lyneham Road for a distance of 47 meters in a north easterly direction.
Deposited copies of the Orders, plan and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may also be seen at Lyneham Library, Memorial Hall, Calne Road SN15 4PR during the hours of 2pm to 7pm Monday, 2pm to 5pm Thursday and Friday and 10am to midday Saturday until 15 September 2025.
