What is happening?

(St Peter’s Road, Coggeshall)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of St Peter’s Road, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree from its junction with Myneer Park for a distance of approximately 45m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st September 2025 for 3 days or where stated on a valid permit (AD03164842332 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial reinstatement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Church Green, Church Street, Market Hill, East Street and vice versa (with access only into St Peter’s Road).

The Order came into effect on 14th August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
