Ruskway Lane - Temporary Road Closure To Fibre Cable Installation

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Ruskway Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Ruskway Lane - from the junction with Puckington to Ruskway Lane to the junction with Lawnmoor Lane. A total distance of 564 metres.

This Order will enable Wessex Internet to carry out fibre cable installation.

The Order becomes effective on 11th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 15th September 2025 and last until 26th September 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 12 days.
