Isle of Wight, Temporary Footpath Closure Due To Railway Repairs

What is happening?

The Isle of Wight Council's Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -The Isle of Wight Council (Sandown and Shanklin Footpath 63, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0800 hours on Monday 01 September 2025, and 1700 hours on Friday 26 September 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian, to proceed along Sandown and Shanklin Footpath 63, Shanklin, From its junctions with Sandown Road Lake and its junction with Sandown And Shanklin Footpath 59, Lake. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Railway repairs.
