What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
THE A64 TRUNK ROAD (BRAMHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A64 Trunk Road, in West Yorkshire, to enable structure works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Friday 5 September 2025 for 12 nights,
or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be to impose, at times during the works, between 8pm and 6am, a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the:
(i) A64 westbound carriageway from Hazlewood Bridge to the roundabout at Junction 44, a distance of 300 metres; and
(ii) A64 roundabout at Junction 44, a distance of 500 metres.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 31 August 2025 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
