Peterborough Area - Multiple Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Orders

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Old North Road, Wansford Ref: 26-111
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Old North Road, Wansford, as lies between the A47 roundabout at Wansford Interchange and Black Swan Spinney. The Council is satisfied
that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: A47, Old Leicester Road, Wansford Road, Old North Road. The proposed order
will come into force on the 01/09/2025 and will continue until the A1 southbound works have been completed or until the 31/08/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated
that the works will take place between the 01/09/2025 and the 20/10/2025, weekdays between 20:00 and 06:00, and continuously over the weekends. For further information please contact Graham Construction on 07535 245168 RC2
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order – Barnstock Footpath, Bretton, Peterborough – 2025 Ref: 26-095
The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Barnstock Footpath, Bretton, as lies between 114 and 116 Barnstock. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians
and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order will be signed locally on site.
The proposed Order will come into operation on the 03/09/2025 and will continue until the water meter exchange works have been completed or until the 02/03/2026, whichever is the earlier. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Lincoln Road, Werrington, as lies between Sharma Leas and Southwell Avenue. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Davids Lane, Paston Parkway Roundabout 22, Fulbridge Road, The Green, Church Street and vice versa.
The proposed order will come into force on the 11/09/2025 and will continue until the defect rectification works have been completed or until the 10/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally
on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 11/09/2025 and the 15/09/2025.

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Tallington Road, Bainton, as lies between Meadow Gate and Bainton Village Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Bainton Road, Tallington, A1175 Main Road, Deeping Road, Tallington, Deeping Road, Uffington, Barnack Road, Uffington, Uffington Road, B1443 Bainton Road, Barnack, Station Road, Barnack Road, Bainton, and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/09/2025 and will continue until the new water mains connection works have been completed or until the 09/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Bretton Gate, Bretton, Peterborough Ref: 26-113
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Bretton Gate, Bretton, as lies between Carvell Close and Soke Parkway Roundabout 16 A47. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be
prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: A47 Soke Parkway, Soke Parkway Roundabout 17 Eastbound Off Slip, Soke Parkway Roundabout 17, Gresley Way, Gresley Way Roundabout 62, Bretton Gate and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 08/09/2025 and will continue until the lining, gully cover and frame works have been completed or until the 07/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the roads detailed in the schedule below:

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads.
The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the schedule above. The proposed order will come into force on the 08/09/2025 and will continue until the A47 resurfacing works have been completed or until the 07/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs from the 08/09/2025 to the 12/09/2025.
