Lewes Road, Brighton - Temporary Suspension of Bus and Cycle Lane due to Carriageway Drainage and Bus Stop Upgrade Works

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – LEWES ROAD, BRIGHTON
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-
The Suspension of the southbound bus and cycle lane from a point 20 metres north of the Bus Depot entrance continuing in a southerly direction for 70 metres to outside number 108.
The Order is necessary to allow contractors to improve the carriageway drainage and upgrade bus stops.
Pedestrian access will be maintained with a pedestrian walkway, with buses and cyclists to use the vehicular traffic lane.
This Order comes into force on 8th September for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 21 November 2025.
