Binegar Bottom - Temporary Road Closure To Bridge Repair Works

Temporary Closure of Binegar Bottom
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Binegar Bottom - from 122 metres south-west of the junction with Roemead Lane, south- westwards for a total distance of 570 metres.
This Order will enable Hammond ECS Ltd to carry out bridge repair works on behalf of Historical Railway Estates.
The Order becomes effective on 11th September 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 15th September 2025 and last until 7th November 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 54 days.
