Dryden Avenue - Temporary Road Closure for Cadent Gas Gas Main Replacement Scheme

What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (CARDEN AVENUE) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025. 

The Order will introduce a road closure on Carden Avenue, at the junction of Dryden Avenue, Swinton. The Order is necessary for Cadent Gas' gas main replacement scheme. 

The order is due to come into operation on the Monday 22nd September and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. 

The works are expected to be completed by Monday 13th October 2025. The diversion route is via Ellesmere Street - Arthur Street - Dryden Avenue, vice versa.
