THE A50 TRUNK ROAD (OAKS GREEN TO UTTOXETER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A50 Trunk Road, between Oaks Green and Uttoxeter, in the Counties of Derbyshire and Staffordshire, to enable carriageway and concrete beam repairs works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close –
(1) the westbound carriageway of the A50 from its junction with the exit slip road leading to the roundabout junction with the A515, Main Road and Derby Road (Ashbourne Interchange), at Oaks Green, to its roundabout junction with the A518 Derby Road at Uttoxeter;
(2) the entry slip road leading to the westbound carriageway of the A50 from Ashbourne Interchange; and
(3) the link road leading to the westbound carriageway of the A50 from Marston Lane, at Doveridge.
The work is expected to be carried out over a full weekend closure between 20:00 hours on Friday 19 September 2025 and 05:00 hours on Monday 22 September 2025. The Order will come into force on 12 September.
Only vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.
Diversion routes via the A515, the A52 and the A522 will be signed.
