ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Barford St. Michael, Summer Ley
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 25 August 2025
Coming into force: 1 September 2025

This Order is being introduced because of a new water connection to the sewage treatment works which are anticipated to take until 12 September 2025 to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Summer Ley. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Resident access will be maintained. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16236/RMF)

Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 8 September 2025
Coming into force: 15 September 2025

This Order is being introduced because of fibre cabling works which are anticipated to take until 26 September 2025 to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Hill Farm Lane from Alberta House to The Lodge. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. There is no alternative route for traffic due to this being a dead end. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16177/RMF)

Shutford, The Plain Road
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 8 September 2025
Coming into force: 15 September 2025

This Order is being introduced because of installation of upgraded electricity supply works which are anticipated to take until 26 September 2025 to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of The Plain Road south of Shutford Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic will be signed locally. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Banbury Footpath 120/46/10 and
Bodicote Bridleway 137/11/10
Date of Order: 25/8/2025
Coming into force: 3/9/2025

This Order is being introduced because of construction of the spine road and associated works which is anticipated to be completed on 31/12/2025.
The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part section of the Footpath No.120/46/10 and Bridleway No.137/11/10 for approximately 120 metres of both. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route will be locally signed for approximately 130m along each side of the spine road to join existing footpath 120/47/10 for approximately 30metres (400m diversion in total). Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T16455/RMF)
