The Wandsworth (School Streets) (No. 2) Order 2025

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth on 26 August 2025 made the above order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

  2. The general effect of the Order is to introduce a School Street as detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

  3. Copies of the Order, which will come into operation on 26 August 2025, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU.

  4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements of that Act or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – ELAND ROAD SW11

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Eland Road to facilitate Thames Water works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Eland Road from the junction with Elby Road to the junction with Heathwall Street. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 3 September 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 8 September 2025.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION – GARRATT LANE SW18

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Garratt Lane to facilitate Thames Water utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Garratt Lane from the junction with Dela Street to the junction with Treport Road. There will be no waiting 08:00-17:00 Saturday & Sunday only.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 6 September 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 14 September 2025.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – THURLIGH ROAD SW12

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Thurligh Road to facilitate a Crane Operation.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Thurligh Road from the junction of Glinelli Road and the junction of Deerhurst Road. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 02 September 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 08 September 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC – BESLEY STREET SW16

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Besley Street to facilitate Telecoms utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, a temporary waiting restriction will be introduced in Besley Street, although vehicular access will be maintained where practicable.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 27 August 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 27 August 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION – GARRATT LANE SW18

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Garratt Lane to facilitate installation of Traffic Signals.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, the southbound bus lane restriction will be suspended from the junction with Wandsworth Road to opposite the junction with Dumont Road, so all traffic can use the bus lane to accommodate the works. There will be no waiting 20:00-03:00.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 26 August 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 28 August 2025.

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Lavender Walk to facilitate Telecoms utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Lavender Walk at the junction with Lavender Hill. There will be no waiting 09:30-15:30.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 26 August 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 28 August 2025.
