THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES)

(AMENDMENT NO.182) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet have made on 21st August 2025 the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 32, 35 and 49 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to maintain road safety and traffic flow, deter obstructive parking, and improve sightlines and safety for all, the general effect of the above Orders will be to:

Introduce new lengths of ‘At any time’ double yellow line waiting restrictions at the following locations:

• At the northernmost junction of Edgwarebury Gardens with Edgwarebury Gardens HA8, by converting lengths of existing single yellow line waiting restrictions

• At the southernmost junction of Edgwarebury Gardens with Edgwarebury Gardens HA8, by converting lengths of existing single yellow line waiting restrictions

• At the junction with Byron Drive and The Bishops Avenue N2

• A certain length of The Bishops Avenue N2, west side, near its junction with Bishops Grove

• At the junction of Greenway and Ventnor Drive N20

• At the junction of Greenway and Greenway Close N20

• At the junction of Laurel Way and Lynton Mead N20

• At the junction of Laurel Way and Ventnor Drive N20

• At the junction of Laurel Way and Longland Drive/Northiam N20

• At the junction of Laurel View and Longland Drive/Northiam N20

• At the junction of Lynton Mead and Coppice Walk N20

• At the junction of Northiam and Chiddingfold N20

• At the junction of Cissbury Ring North and Pyecoombe Corner N12

• At the junction of Cissbury Ring North and Scaynes Link N12

• At the junction of Scaynes Link and Chanctonbury Way N12

• At the junction of Cissbury Ring North and Lullington Garth N12

• At the junction of Cissbury Ring South and Lullington Garth N12

• At the junction of Steynings Way and Walminton Fold N12

• A certain length of Steynings Way footpath, south-west side near its junction with Lullington Garth

• At the northernmost junction of Hyde Crescent and Goldsmith Avenue NW9

• At the southernmost junction of Hyde Crescent and Goldsmith Avenue NW9

• At the junction of Goldsmith Avenue and Reets Farm Close NW9

• At the junction of Goldsmith Avenue and Goldsmith Avenue/Fryent Grove NW9

• At the junction of Selborne Gardens and Watford Way slip road NW4, by converting single yellow line waiting restrictions

• Selborne Gardens NW4, both sides between Nos. 9 and 19 Selborne Gardens (around the southernmost bend)

• Selborne Gardens NW4, both sides between Nos. 65 and 75 Selborne Gardens (around the northernmost bend)

• At the junction of Tarling Road and Fallows Close N2

• At the junction of Tarling Road and Simms Gardens N2

• At the junction of Tarling Road and Vanderville Gardens N2

• At the junction of Tarling Road and Oak Lane N2

• At the junction of Oak Lane and Brownswell Road N2

• A certain length of Oak Lane N2, north side, between its junction with High Road and Crathorne House

• A certain length of Oak Lane N2, south side, near its junction with High Road

A single yellow line waiting restriction operational between 8am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am and 1pm Saturday, will be introduced for certain lengths on both sides of The Bishops Avenue N2, between its junction with Lyttelton Road/Aylmer Road and No.57 The Bishops Avenue.

Additionally, a single yellow line waiting restriction operational 11am to 12midday Monday to Friday, will be introduced outside No.170 Granville Road NW2, by removing a resident permit holders only parking bay.

The Free Order will also increase the existing operational hours of the school keep clear road marking on Richmond Road EN5 outside Lyonsdown School, from 8am to 9.30am and 2.45pm to 4.15pm Monday to Friday, so that it will operate 8am to 9.30am and 2.45pm to 4.45pm Monday to Friday, and introduce a new school keep clear road marking operational 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, on Fallows Close N2, north side outside No.1 Fallows Close N2.

In order to help maximise resident permit parking provision it is also proposed to:

• Extend lengths of resident permit holders only parking bays operational Monday to Friday 11am to 12midday outside Nos. 28 and 29 Woodville Road NW11, by converting a length of single yellow line waiting restriction

• Introduce a length of resident permit holder only parking bay operational Monday to Friday 11am to 12midday outside No. 30 Woodville Road NW11, by converting a length of single yellow line waiting restriction

Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on Saturday 23rd August 2025 and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders can be obtained, for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 3rd Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
