ORDER 2024 NO 360
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14(1) (AS AMENDED)
The North Yorkshire Council has made an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the parish of West Ayton in the Borough of Scarborough:
No person shall proceed along Public Footpath 30.22/001/1 West Ayton between grid references SE98418711 and SE9874858.
The closure will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs and a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.
The Order is necessary due to the unsafe condition of the boardwalk on the public footpath.

By approval of the Secretary of State for Transport on the 14 August 2025 to an extension (ref: NATTRAN/Y&H/TTRO/12322), the Order shall continue in force until 12 March 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
