Bridge Holme Lane, Whitby - Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians Order

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)
PUBLIC FOOTPATH 10 FYLINGDALES (STOUPE BECK) (NYC PATH REF: 30.36/010) ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1) (AS AMENDED)
The North York Moors National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the parish of Fylingdales in the county of North Yorkshire:
No pedestrian shall proceed along this footpath commencing at Grid Reference NZ 9501 0345 (Point A – exit from Bridge Holme Lane), heading in a generally south-easterly and then southerly direction for 500 metres to a bridge over Stoupe Beck at Grid Reference NZ 9521 0314 (Point B) and then continuing in a generally southerly direction for a further 700 metres to join
the Cinder Track at Grid Reference NZ 9539 0252 (Point C).
A total distance of 1.2 kilometres.
There is NO alternative route. The Cinder Track will be unaffected by these works.
The Order is necessary to allow for the bridge to be replaced at Grid Reference NZ 9521 0314 (Point B).
The closure will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs.
By approval of the Secretary of State for Transport on the 14 August 2025 to an extension (ref: TTRO/Y&H/13326), the Order shall continue in force until 3 March 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
