What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH HERTFORD 78
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Hertford 78, heading east from junction with Queens Road, for an approximate distance of 200m.
Alternative route: via Queens Road, Hagsdell Road & Valley Close
The purpose of the Order is to enable maintenance works to take place.
The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 25 August 2025 for up to 1 day, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TAYLOR CLOSE, ST ALBANS AND WOOD END HILL, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
that length of Taylor Close, St Albans from its junction with Sandringham Crescent north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
that length of Wood End Hill, Harpenden from its junction with Tuffnells Way south westwards to its junction with Wood End Road, a distance of approximately 200m.
An alternative route will be via Tuffnells Way and Wood End Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If made, the Order, shall come into force on 8 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TYTTENHANGER GREEN, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Tyttenhanger Green, St Albans from a point in line with the south western boundary of Nos.19-21 Tyttenhanger Green north eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Tyttenhanger Green, Highfield Lane, Hill End Lane, Colney Heath Lane, Barley Mow Lane and Tyttenhanger Green.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If made, the Order shall come into force on 9 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WHITE HORSE LANE, LONDON COLNEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of White Horse Lane, London Colney from a point 26m northeast of its junction with High Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via White Horse Lane, High Street, A414 North Orbital Road and White Horse Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CEDARWOOD DRIVE, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cedarwood Drive, St Albans from its junction with Longacres eastwards and north eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”).
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
