Wembley, Temporary Road Closures Due To Sporting Event (10K Run)

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16(A)

(10K RUN) – (VARIOUS ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

The Council of the London Borough of Brent, hereby give notice that, to facilitate a sporting event, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to: -

a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in any length of First Way, Fifth Way, Atlas Road, Hannah Close, Great Central Way, South Way, Fulton Road, Albion Way, N End Road, Bridge Rd, Wembley Park Drive (between Bridge Street and Jn with Empire Way) Empire Way (to JN with Wembley Hill Rd) Engineers Way (with Access to Civic Centre), Exhibition Way, Fourth Way, Carey Way, Second Way, Watkins Rd, Rutherford Way;

b) prohibit waiting by vehicles, including waiting for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle in any road or length of road referred to in (a) above;

when and where appropriate traffic signs are being displayed.

The prohibitions referred to above would apply on 24th August 2025, when and where appropriate traffic signs are being displayed.

The prohibitions will not apply to vehicles required by organisers of the 10k Run for use in connection with the event.

Access to the other premises within the industrial estate will be permitted only insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the event and does not compromise the safety of competitors.

Traffic affected by the prohibition in (a) above should proceed as indicated by traffic signs.
