Hillview Drive, Clarkston - Temporary Road Closure due to Carriageway Resurfacing Works

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD
ORDER 2025
On the 2nd July 2025 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Hillview Drive, Clarkston, from its junction with Mayfield Avenue up to its junction with Buccleuch Avenue, in order to facilitate the essential carriageway resurfacing works on or near the road, scheduled to be carried from Tuesday 30th of September until Friday 17th of October 2025. The closure will only be in force between the Contractor’s working hours of 0800 and 1600 and there will be no week-end working.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative Route: Hillview Drive - Busby Road - Eaglesham Road - Greenwood Road - Mearns Road - Hillview Drive and vice versa.
