LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MARKET SQUARE, KIRKHAM, FYLDE BOROUGH) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING EXCEPT ACCESS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that further to the making of the "Lancashire County Council (Market Square, Kirkham, Fylde Borough) (Prohibition Of Driving Except Access) Experimental Order 2024" on 31 July 2024, Lancashire County Council has now made the above named Order on 15 August 2025 under Sections 1, 2, 4 and 92 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving (except access) in Market Square, Kirkham, from Church Street onto Market Square.
This prohibition includes an obstruction in accordance with Section 92 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
This Order will come into force on the 01 September 2025. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Fylde Borough Council, Town Hall, Lytham St Annes, FY8 1LW, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, quoting ref: LSG4/894.18373/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
