What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Back Lane to Guisborough Road, Newholm, Order 2025, No. 300
We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Back Lane to Guisborough Road, Newholm for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 01/09/25 & 12/09/25, due to works to core drill into existing network & lay 170m of new duct, associated chambers & tobies works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 01/12/25 in case of unforeseen delays. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Spital Bridge Junction, Various Roads, Whitby, Order 2025, No. 311 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using the following named roads in Whitby due to road closure to enable the Spital Bridge junction improvement works to be undertaken, the closure will only be enacted when necessary. The initial closure dates are stated below. Larpool Lane junction with A171 (to Larpool Crescent) - w/c 08/09/25 - full time. Spital Bridge junction with A171 (to Abbotts Rd) - w/c 08/09/25 - 7pm to 2am. Full junction (A171, Larpool Lane and Spital Bridge) - end of project, provisionally scheduled end of November 2025 - 7pm to 2am. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 08/09/25 until 31/01/26 inclusive, however the max duration of this Order will be 07/03/27, to cover any unforeseen technical difficulties or weather issues. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate.
