What is happening?

FALKIRK COUNCIL

THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

The Council has made the Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit vehicles on:

Manor Wynd, Maddiston from 09:30 until 18:00 on 29/08/25. The prohibition is to allow for ironworks repairs to be undertaken.

1. This order temporarily closes Manor Wynd, Maddiston from a point adjacent to Heather Grove in a westerly direction for approximately 100 metres or thereby.

C51, Avondale Road, Polmont from 17:00 hours on 30/08/2025 until 17.00 hours on 31/03/2026. The prohibition is for road safety concerns and to allow for embankment works adjacent to the carriageway.

1. This Order temporarily closes C51, Avondale Road, Polmont from approx Jinkabout Bridge for a distance of approx. 250m to approx Polmont Hill Cottage
2. The alternative route: C51- Jinkabout Bridge, A905- Wholeflats Road, C71- Grange Road, C51- Bo’ness Road, A803- Main Street, A803- Gilston Roundabout, A803, A803- Lathallan Roundabout, C51- Avondale Road and vice versa.

A9 Stirling Road, Larbert from 07:30 hours on 01/09/25 until 17:00 hours on 06/09/25. The prohibition is to allow carriageway surfacing work to be carried out safely.

1. This Order temporarily closes Nethermains Road Denny from its junction with Castlerankin Road to its junction with Baxters Crescent
2. The alternative routes are:
a) Main diversion route is: Nethermains Road, Stirling Street, Glasgow Road, Nethermains Road and vice versa.
b) Secondary diversion route is: Myothill Road, Blaefaulds Road, Castlerankin Road and vice versa.

Queen Street, Grangemouth from 07.30 hours on 01/09/2025 until 17.00 hours on 17/10/2025. The prohibition is to allow for footway upgrading works.

1. This Order temporarily closes Queen Street for approximately 230m from its’ junction with Albert Avenue to its’ junction with Oswald Avenue
2. The alternative route: Oswald Avenue, Albert Avenue and vice versa

THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025

The Council has made the Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit waiting in:

Ash Place, Banknock from 09:30 on 04/09/25 until 15:30 on 05/09/25. The prohibition is to allow for Telecommunications works to be undertaken.

1. This order prohibits waiting on Ash Place, Banknock from a point adjacent to Laburnum Road in an easterly direction on both sides for approximately 45 metres or thereby.
