Chessington - No Waiting Restrictions for Goods Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes

What is happening?

ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the following Order The Kingston upon Thames (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. ) Order 202 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 insofar as applicable to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other powers thereunto enabling.

  2. The general effect of the Order will introduce ‘no waiting’ operating Monday to Saturday between 7pm to 7am for goods vehicles with a maximum gross vehicle weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes in the following roads:

(a) Meadow Way, Chessington;

(b) Moorfield Road, Chessington

(c) Rhodrons Avenue, Chessington; and

(d) Sherbourne Road, Chessington.

  1. Copies of the proposed Order, the Council’s Statement of Reason for proposing the Order and map schedules showing the location and the effects of the proposals may be inspected as follows:-

(a) online at https://consultation.appyway.com/kingston-upon-thames selecting reference MapKing0112 – Rhodrons Avenue 3.5t No Waiting Restriction.

(b) Council libraries; or

(c) Copies can obtained by calling 020 8547 5000. Our lines are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

  1. Comments to the proposed Order can be submitted electronically via the link provided in paragraph 3(a) or in writing to the Traffic Order Team, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU please quote ref MapKing0112 by 11 September 2025.
