Sandon - Temporary Road Closure and Waiting Restrictions due to Proposed Works
What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN ROE GREEN, SANDON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Roe Green, Sandon from its junction with Rushden Road north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Redhill, a distance of approximately 1530m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Rushden Road, C108 (unnamed road), Fears Green, North End, Kelshall Tops, Therfield Road, Baldock Road, A505 (Baldock Road/Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), Wallington Road, Kits Lane, The Street, C10 (unnamed road) and Redhill or via Redhill, C10 (unnamed road), The Street, Kits Lane, Wallington Road, B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road, A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road/ Baldock Road), Baldock Road, Therfield Road, Kelshall Tops, North End, Fears Green, C108 (unnamed road) and Rushden Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
