Bredwardine, Temporary Road Closure Due To Bridge Maintenance Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1185 From B4352 To Brobury Lane, Bredwardine, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1185 From B4352 To Brobury Lane, Bredwardine, 50 metres eitherside of Bredwardine bridge. Grid Ref: 333685/244721.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1185 onto the A438, onto the C1298, onto the B4352, onto the C1185 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to bridge maintenance works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 15th of September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 weeks.
