Much Marcle, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Replacement Works

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1289 The Old Lodge To Much Marcle, Much Marcle, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1289 The Old Lodge To Much Marcle, Much Marcle, outside Great Moorcourt Farm. Grid Ref: 365867/232046.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via C1289 onto Kempley Lane onto Kempley Green Lane onto Marcle Rd onto B4024 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to pole replacement and tree cutting works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 15th of September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
