Bromyard Temporary Road Closure Due To Surface Dressing Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: B4214 From Church Road Avenbury To A465, Bromyard Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4214 From Church Road Avenbury To A465, Bromyard, from the junction of the A465, to Cusop Farm Cottage. Grid Ref: 364867/252546.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A465 onto the A417, onto the A4103, onto the B4214 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to surface dressing preparation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 15th of September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
