Temporary Waiting and Loading Restriction – Various Roads, Clacton on Sea.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1 July 2022 Has Made the following order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, a temporary waiting and loading restriction in the lengths of road and during the date and times specified below. The restriction is required due to the likelihood of danger to the public.

(Temporary No Waiting and No Loading Restrictions)
Order 2025
No Waiting and No Loading from 6.00am to 7.00pm on Wednesday 20 August, Thursday 21 August and on Friday 22 August 2025.
Lengths of road at Clacton-on-Sea.
Tower Road, Clacton – North-east side from its junction with Marine Parade West to the north western boundary of no.42 Tower Road, a distance of approximately 150 metres.
Wash Lane – both sides from its junction with West Road to its junction with Freeland Road, a distance of approximately 275 metres.
Hastings Avenue – East side from its junction with West Road for a distance of 100 metres.
Hastings Avenue – South-east side from a point opposite the boundary between nos. 69/71 Hastings Avenue for a distance of 55 metres in a south westerly direction.
Hastings Avenue – Both sides from the boundary between nos. 11/15 Hastings Avenue for a distance of 70 metres in a generally westerly direction.
Selsey Avenue – Both sides from its junction with Hastings Avenue for a distance of 25 metres in a southerly direction.
Link Road – Both sides from its junction with Alton Park Road south east for 15 metres.
Arnold Road – Both sides from its junction with Leas Road south east for 20 metres.
Crown Road – Both sides from its junction with Cherry Tree Avenue in a east and then north east direction for 30 metres.
Queen Elizabeth Avenue – Both sides from its junction with Cherry Tree Avenue east for 25 metres.
Prince Philip Avenue – Both sides from its junction with Cherry Tree Avenue east for 35 metres
Vista Road – from its northern junction with Skelmersdale Road both sides for 10 metres
Vista Road – South Side from a point opposite the boundary line of 84/86 north west for 30 metres
Recreation Road – from its junction with Vista Road both sides southwest for 10 metres
Valence Way – Both sides from its junction with Vista Road northeast for 10 metres
Alton Park Road – East side from a point opposite the boundary of numbers 52/54 Alton Park Road to a point opposite the boundary of numbers 60/62 Alton Park Road, a distance of approximately 39 metres.
Anchor Road – Both sides from its junction with Alton Park Road to a point 3 metres west of the boundary of numbers 80/82 Anchor Road for a distance of approximately 18 metres.
Park Road – Both side from junction with Anchor Road to a point level with the boundary wall of number 48 Park Road
Deal Close – Both sides south west from the junction with Hastings Avenue to the junction with Little Stone Court.
Weymouth Close – Both sides north east from the junction with Hastings Avenue to a point level with the north east facing boundary wall of number 31 Weymouth Close.
No Waiting from 8.00am to 10.00pm on Thursday 21 August 2025 and from 8.00am to 6.00pm on Friday 22 August 2025.
Lengths of road at Clacton-on-Sea.
Nelson Road – both sides approximately 16.5 metres from the junction with Marine Parade East for a distance of approximately 147.0 metres
Cherry Tree Avenue – both sides from its junction with West Road north west for 20 metres
West Road – north side from a point 15 metres west of its junction with Cherry Tree Avenue to a point 15 metres east of the same junction
Collingwood Road – both sides approximately 16.5 metres from the junction with Marine Parade East for a distance of approximately 75.0 metres
St Vincent Road – both sides approximately 15.5 metres from the junction with Marine Parade East for a distance of approximately 147.0 metres
Trafalgar Road – both sides approximately 17.5 metres from the junction with Marine Parade East for a distance of approximately 149.0 metres
Any existing stopping, waiting and parking restrictions relating to the above lengths of road contained in The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Consolidation) Order 2019 will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the above restrictions

(Temporary Introduction of 30MPH Speed Restriction)
Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction in that length of Centenary Way, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Thorpe Road for a distance of approximately 720m in a north westerly direction. The restriction is scheduled to commence on 15th September 2025 for 72 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP40068634834 – Persimmon Homes Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footpath and site entrance construction works are undertaken on behalf of Persimmon Homes Ltd.
The Order will come into effect on 28th August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Cloes Lane, Clacton on Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cloes Lane, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Douglas Road to its junction with Hadleigh Road a distance of approximately 235m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th September 2025 for 33 days (closure in 2 phases), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001434525 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via St Johns Road, Jaywick Lane, Rush Green Road and vice versa (with access only into Cloes Lane).
The Order will come into effect on 28th August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Harwich Road, Little Clacton)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Harwich Road, Little Clacton in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Baytree Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st September 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001440481 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via B1441, B1033 and vice versa (with access only into the B1414).
The Order will come into effect on 28th August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Southcliff Park, Clacton on Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Southcliff Park, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Holland Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th September 2025 for 136 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001440316 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Holland Road and vice versa (with access only into Southcliff Park).
The Order will come into effect on 28th August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Golden Lane, Thorpe-le-Soken)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Golden Lane, Thorpe-le-Soken in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 310m north east of its junction with Colchester Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st September 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110277154 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water leak repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Golden Lane, Harwich Road, Chapel Road, Swan Road, Thorpe Road, Tendring Road, Colchester Road, Golden Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 14th August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Little Clacton Road, Great Holland)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Little Clacton Road, Great Holland in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 515m west of the junction with Main Road for a distance of approximately 225m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd September 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG2RLJ7K – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Little Clacton Road, Great Holland Common Road, Sladburys Lane, Holland Road, Thorpe Road, North Road, St Johns Road, Old Road, Olivers Road, Wellesley Road, Carnarvon Road, High Street, Holland Road, Frinton Road, Clacton Road, Little Clacton Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 14th August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Sladburys Lane, Clacton on Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sladburys Lane, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Holland Road to its junction with Burrs Road a distance of approximately 1040m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st September 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2387173 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gully installation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Burrs Road, Valley Road, Holland Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 14th August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Walton Road, Thorpe-le-Soken)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Walton Road, Thorpe-le-Soken in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Landermere to its junction with Damants Farm Lane a distance of approximately 585m.
To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting. No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.
“The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 1st September 2025 for 19 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2389555 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Walton Road, Dale Hill, Sneating Hall Lane, Frinton Road, Abbey Street, Landermere Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(West Avenue, Clacton on Sea)
(Temporary Introduction of One Way)
& (Agate Street, Clacton on Sea)
(Temporary Banned Left Turn) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
To temporarily introduce a One Way restriction in that length of West Avenue, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from the junction with Jackson Road to the junction with Agate Road a distance of approximately 60m (Traffic to go in an Eastbound direction only).
To temporarily introduce a banned left hand turn from Agate Road into West Avenue for the duration of the one way restriction only.
The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 1st September 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG5K5L6J – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole installation works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via West Avenue, Ellis Road, Tower Road, Marine Parade West and Agate Road.
The Order came into effect on 14th August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
