Oxfordshire, Temporary Closure Of Footpath & Bridleway Due To Spine Road Construction

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Banbury Footpath 120/46/10 and Bodicote Bridleway 137/11/10

Date of Order: 25/8/2025 Coming into force: 3/9/2025

This Order is being introduced because of construction of the spine road and associated works which is anticipated to be completed on 31/12/2025.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part section of the Footpath No.120/46/10 and Bridleway No.137/11/10 for approximately 120 metres of both. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians.

The alternative route will be locally signed for approximately 130m along each side of the spine road to join existing footpath 120/47/10 for approximately 30metres (400m diversion in total). Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
