Stanton Lane - To Impose A 50Mph Speed Limit
What is happening?
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(STANTON LANE, IN THE PARISHES OF IBSTOCK AND STANTON UNDER BARDON, IN THE DISTRICT OF NORTH-WEST LEICESTERSHIRE AND THE BOROUGH OF HINCKLEY AND BOSWORTH) (IMPOSITION OF 50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 5, 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
To impose a 50mph speed limit on part of Stanton Lane, Stanton under Bardon and Ibstock.
The Order will come into force on the first day of September 2025.
A copy of the Order and the relevant map is available for public inspection at County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA.
The Order can also be viewed online at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/cars-and-parking/ traffic-management-consultations from 27th August 2025.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(BOROUGH OF HINCKLEY AND BOSWORTH) (PROHIBITION OF RIGHT AND LEFT TURN) (STANTON LANE, STANTON UNDER BARDON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 1(1) 2(1), 2(2), 4, 5 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
To impose a prohibition of left turn for all motorised and non-motorised vehicles from the unnamed access road onto Stanton Lane, Stanton under Bardon
To impose a prohibition of right turn for all motorised and non-motorised vehicles from Stanton Lane onto the unnamed access road, Stanton under Bardon
The Order will come into force on the first day of September 2025.
