The East Sussex (C212 Observatory Road, Brightling) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex
County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Observatory Road – from the junction with C603 Sheepshaw Lane to the junction with C18 Deer Park Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C18 Deer Park Road – C603 Sheepshaw Lane and vice versa.
The Order commenced 15 May 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 and 29 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6971 Eight Acre Lane, Guestling)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Eight Acre Lane – from the junction with C22 Butchers Lane to the junction with C638 Rock Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C22 Butchers Lane – A259(T) Rye Road, Winchelsea Road, White Hart Hill, Winchelsea Road – A259 Rye Road – U3246 Red Lake Terrace – C638 Rock Lane and vice versa.
The Order commenced 12 May 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 28 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Clayhill – from the junction with U6630 New Road to the junction with B2165 The Stream.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2165 Clayhill – B2088 Rye Road – A28 Hastings Road, Perryman Cross, Well House Hill – B2165 Beckley Road, The Stream and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 28 and 29 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2
To allow Trooli to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure
Pett Road – from the junction with C23 Chick Hill to the junction with U6419 Elms Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C23 Chick Hill – C92 Pett Level Road – C635 Rosemary Lane – C23 Pett Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 26 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 and 28 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex
County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Mackerel Hill – from the junction with A268 Flackley Ash to the junction with C91 Wittersham Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C91 Wittersham Road, The Street (KCC) – B2082 Stocks Road (KCC), Rye Road (KCC) – B2082 Wittersham Road, Iden Road – C6950 Church Lane, Coldharbour Lane – A268 Rye Road, Main Street, Flackley Ash and vice versa.
The Order commenced 6 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 26 and 27 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Road Traffic Management Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Ellenwhorne Lane – from the junction with B2165 Northiam Road to the junction with B2089 Catts Green.

The Order commences 26 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 August and 2 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The Order commences 26 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 August and 16 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The Order commences 10 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 09:30hrs to 15:30hrs on 10 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The Order commences 5 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 09:30hrs to 15:30hrs on 5 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The Order commences 7 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 12 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
