(20, 30 & 40 MPH SPEED LIMITS) (VARIOUS ROADS)
(TOWN OF FAIRFORD), COTSWOLD DISTRICT) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Sections 82 & 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made the above-named order the effect of which will be:
1) To prohibit the driving of any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20mph on the following roads:

| Croft Lane (40966) | For its entire length. |
| The Orchard (47371) | For its entire length. |
| Back Lane (47107) | For its entire length. |
| Gas Lane (41013, 73575) | For its entire length. |
| Bridge Street (A417) | From its junction with Market Place (C157) for a distance of 27m in a north-westerly direction. |
| London Street (A417) | From its junction with Market Place (C157) to a point 44m west of its junction with The Piles (47084). |
3) To prohibit the driving of any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph on the following roads to tie in with the 30mph speed limit signs on London Road (A417) by virtue of Street Lighting or by Traffic Order on Cirencester Road (A417):

The Order shall come into effect on 29th August 2025.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE A417 LONDON STREET
(FAIRFORD TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the A417 London Street Road from outside the property known as ‘No. 29’ to outside the property known as ‘Hyperion House’ for a distance of approximately 81 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 28th August 2025 until 1st September 2025 or until the works have been completed.

Alternative Route – as signed on site. Emergency access and pedestrian access to premises on or next to the said road will not be maintained due to the works taking place across the whole carriageway.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS
(FAIRFORD PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of the roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the said closures is for lining and signing works.
There will be no waiting, stopping or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme commencing 25th August 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closure is in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all such works will be completed by 29th August 2025.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401548 TREWSBURY ROAD
(COATES PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401548 Trewsbury Road from ‘The Road from Trewsbury Road to Railway Line’ to outside of the property known as ‘Watershed Stables’ for a distance of approximately 119 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for Laying Openreach Duct.
The said road is expected to be closed from 26th August 2025 to 27th August 2025 (09:30hrs to 15:30hrs only) or until the works have been completed.
