What is happening?

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through

Traffic Order – Muskham, Bretton 2025 Ref: 26-109

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Muskham, Bretton, as lies between 39 and 55 Muskham. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this Order is: 63 Muskham, 65 Muskham, 48 Sprignall, 10 Muskham, 27 Muskham, 32 Deerleap, 37 Muskham and vice versa.The Order will come into operation on the 27/08/2025 and will continue until the new boundary box and meter works have been completed or until the 26/02/2026, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between the 27/08/2025 and 29/08/2025. For further information please contact Anglian Water on 08457 145145. FP2

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through

Traffic Order 2025 – Old North Road, Wansford      Ref: 26-111

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Old North Road, Wansford, as lies between the A47 roundabout at Wansford Interchange and Black Swan Spinney. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: A47, Old Leicester Road, Wansford Road, Old North Road. The proposed order will come into force on the 01/09/2025 and will continue until the A1 southbound works have been completed or until the 31/08/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 01/09/2025 and the 20/10/2025, weekdays between 20:00 and 06:00, and continuously over the weekends. Through Traffic Order – Barnstock Footpath, Bretton,

Peterborough – 2025                 Ref: 26-095

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Barnstock Footpath, Bretton, as lies between 114 and 116 Barnstock. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order will be signed locally on site. The proposed Order will come into operation on the 03/09/2025 and will continue until the water meter exchange works have been completed or until the 02/03/2026, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out between the 03/09/2025 and the 05/09/2025. For further information please contact Anglian Water on 0845 714 5145. FP1
