Public Footpath 32, Haslemere - Temporary restrictions due to works
What is happening?

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) Public Footpath 32 (Haslemere)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 04 September 2025 Surrey County Council will make the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 32 (Haslemere) which extends from Grid ref: 488015 132683 to its junction with Critchmere Lane, Grid ref: 488065 132690.
The Order is necessary to enable renewal of electrical cables. The closure will be in operation for a period of 2 months from 08 September 2025 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route for traffic from Grid ref: 488015 132683: head north and then in a generally easterly direction along Public Footpath 33 (Haslemere).
The alternative route for traffic from the junction with Critchmere Lane will be the reverse of the route described above.“The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 32 (Haslemere) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” will be made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
